About Me
Debbi Mack is author of the four-book Sam McRae mystery series, including her debut novel, Identity Crisis, which made the New York Times bestseller list in 2011 and is under option to be adapted for the screen. Her standalone books include a middle grade novel, Invisible Me, and a thriller, The Planck Factor.
Her most recent release is Fatal Connections, the sequel to the Shamus-nominated Damaged Goods, the first novel of a new series featuring Erica Jensen, a female Marine veteran sleuth, who battles PTSD and drug addiction while solving crimes.
Debbi is also a screenwriter whose work has made the quarterfinals and semifinals of various contests. She’s host and producer of the Crime Cafe podcast, where she interviews other crime, suspense, and thriller writers. Debbi also aspires to produce scripted audio and video content.
Debbi is a retired attorney with degrees in journalism, law, and library science. In 2009, she organized a fundraiser for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation. In 2004, she had a stroke from which she fully recovered, but developed dystonia as a result. She will continue to write until she absolutely can’t.
